Prepare a warehousing enquiry

Five details.
A good starting point.

You do not need a complete warehousing plan yet. This short checklist helps you describe your goods and requirements so we can agree the next step together.

Getting ready

What we should know about your goods.

Share what you already know. We will help you clarify any open points when we speak.

  1. 01

What goods would you like to store?

Describe the product or material and its packaging. Please mention any special storage conditions, sensitive surfaces or unusual dimensions.

For example: packaged metal components on pallets.

  2. 02

    What quantities are involved?

An approximate number of pallets or boxes, or the floor space needed, is helpful. Please also mention if your stock is growing or fluctuates.

For example: around 80 pallets, with broadly consistent stock levels.

  3. 03

From when, and for how long?

Tell us your planned start date and preferred duration. We are happy to plan a partnership over several years; we can discuss any timing that is still uncertain.

For example: from spring, with long-term storage planned.

  4. 04

    How will your goods move?

Will they remain in storage, or will there be regular deliveries and call-offs? An approximate frequency and your usual units are enough to begin with.

For example: one delivery a month, with call-offs against orders.

  5. 05

Which tasks would you like to hand over?

Do you mainly need space, or also unloading, goods receipt, warehouse management, picking or packing? Tell us what you would like to organise yourself.

For example: organising incoming deliveries yourself, with Hartmann handling receipt and stock records.

Your enquiry can be this brief

No lengthy dossier needed.

Add your company name and a way to contact you. We will clarify all other details to suit your goods.

“From spring, we are looking for long-term space for around 80 pallets of packaged metal components. We receive one delivery a month, with individual items called off against orders. We would like to outsource goods receipt and stock records.”
Illustrative example, not an actual customer order.

Please note

We do not accept toxic substances or alcohol. We check any special temperature, hygiene or handling requirements before confirming a service. Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Do I need exact floor-space or pallet figures already?

No. An approximate quantity, number of units or description of your stock is enough for the first contact. We will then clarify dimensions, weight, packaging and space requirements to suit your goods.

Can I enquire if the timeframe is still uncertain?

Yes. Tell us your preferred start date and approximate duration, as far as these are known. We favour longer-term partnerships and can discuss any open questions about timing with you.

Which documents should I avoid sending initially?

Please do not send customer data lists, passwords or confidential contracts. A general description of your goods and the tasks involved is enough to begin with. We will agree with you which further documents are needed.
